What: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida is kicking off our annual Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser on February 21, 2009. This fundraiser is the mainstay of our individual funding portfolio. The BFKS model is as follows: a Team Captain locates 4 team members; each participant garners a minimum of $100 in pledges (total of $500 per team) and then attends one of the bowling events starting February 21, 2008. During the events, prizes and incentives will be offered to create a fun filled memorable day.

When:
• Duval held on February 21, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Teams bowl in 2 hour shifts beginning at 10-12/1-3/3:30-5:30/6-8.
• Clay County held on March 28, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Volusia County held on April 18, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Nassau County held on April 25, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
We ask all organizations to bowl during the same shift to encourage friendly competition and fun! Each team bowls for two hours, shoes and snacks provided.

Bowl For Kids’ Sake
Bowl For Kids' Sake (BFKS) is Big Brothers Big Sisters' largest national fund-raising campaign. For more than 20 years, Bowl For Kids' Sake has been a primary funding stream for most BBBS agencies. We are going to kick off our Jacksonville event in February.
It’s Not About Bowling…It’s About Kids. The primary way that revenue is generated from BFKS is by individuals who solicit pledges from their circle of contacts to support their best bowling game at a Big Brothers Big Sisters hosted party. These contacts can be our 'Bigs', their friends and families, donors, parents of 'Littles', vendors, contractors, business associates, or schoolteachers. In addition, corporate/business sponsors provide cash and in kind contributions to underwrite event costs.

Bowl for Kids Sake Shirt and Hat ($200.00 - $399.00)
For any participant who raises more then $200 will recieve a t-shirt and hat | Rewards: Hat and shirt - BFKS Hat will have the BBBSNEFL logo. The shirt is white with the BFKS logo and sponosor logos on the back.

Bowl for Kids Sake T-shirt ($100.00 - $199.00)
If you raise $100 or more you will receive a Bowl for Kids Sake T-Shirt | Rewards: T-Shirt - Participants who raise $100 or more will receive a Bowl for Kids Sake Shirt. It will be white with a BFKS logo with sponosor logos on the back

A prize will be given to the individual who raises the most money! The prize will be determined at a later date. |
